Digital X-rays

Digital x-rays are highly effective diagnostic tools that provide valuable information about the oral structures that cannot be visualized with the naked eye.  The images provided by the digital x-ray system are incredibly accurate, enabling Dr. Massaro to detect cavities, bone loss, cysts, and other abnormalities.

Fluoride

Fluoride strengthens and remineralizes the outermost layer of your enamel. Although low levels of fluoride are available via tap water and certain brands of toothpaste, the dosage may not be strong enough to help prevent tooth decay.  According to your particular needs, a stronger professional fluoride treatment may be recommended in the office, or a prescription-strength product may be suggested for home use.

Sealants

A sealant is a thin, plastic coating applied to the deep grooves that are found on the chewing surface of the back teeth. These grooves are difficult or impossible to clean thoroughly, and the frequent location for cavities. By sealing these deep grooves, Dr. Massaro can help to prevent one of the most common causes of tooth decay.
